Luis is currently attending the University of North Texas focusing on Media arts with minors in Spanish and Communications. For the past four years, he has been working as a Video Manager at North Texas focusing on coaches’ film and specialty highlight videos for the team as well. In his third year, however, Luis decided to take a different route from football and began to intern for a local soccer club called the Dallas Sidekicks. There he created video assets for branding and marketing purposes for the team which include: Commercials, highlights videos, interviews, jersey reveals, and managed equipment as well. Now back for his last year with the Mean Green, Luis utilized the skills he learned from his internship to create new branding for recruiting operations with North Texas, as well as continuing to provide mentorship to new students in coaches’ video and video operations. While the future of Luis’ career is still unknown, his appreciation of change, his experiences, and soon a bachelor’s degree under his belt will provide Luis with the assets to continue to pursue jobs in the creative space in sports, entertainment, or advertising to broaden his skills and his impact with others.
