Today, The Platinum Mask channel would like to introduce Olivia Mar for a conversation.

Hey! Please explain to the audience what you’re promoting.

My jewelry line is best described as alternative meets elegance for those who seek luxury without compromise. Every gemstone and diamond is hand selected and ethically sourced, illuminating honest beauty. Olivia Mar is also expanding into the lifestyle and home goods realms — we’ve just introduced a candle line. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to sustainable practices and our promise to do no harm to the environment. I’m really excited about our recent partnership with One Tree Planted, which plants a tree for every piece of Olivia Mar Jewelry that is sold.

What was the biggest obstacle in your journey and how did you overcome it?

Nothing worth striving for comes easy – there are new obstacles daily, but I remind myself that struggles and redirection are a natural part of the process, and a lesson can be taken from each one. It took me a long time to nail down my vision for my company, and taking that time occasionally felt like a hard hill to overcome, especially in the digital age where everything feels so immediate and urgent. But I felt if I could be patient and take that time pondering and planning and making something with purpose and intention, it would stand out when it was finally revealed to the market.

Is there anything you wished you would have known earlier in your journey?

I’m sure it came about at the exact right time, actually, but throwing my natural spontaneity into the mix of my business has really inspired me. I get so much out of a last-minute road trip or a random Airbnb or having a friend visit — it really feeds so much into my design process. As my company grows, it’s great to clear my mind in that way to make room for fresh ideas!

Do you have any favorite spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

Yes! Trova Wine + Market has such a great vibe – wine shop, bistro, marketplace all in one. I also love Cake Bar in Trinity Groves for it’s from-scratch sweets and good coffee.

What was your upbringing like and did you discover your passion early on?

I was always into art from an early age, and exploring my creativity was encouraged. Watercolor, oil painting, ceramics — I’ve experimented with all the formats. I really found my spark when I started working with raw gemstones — taking something pure and enhancing it, rather than altering it, matched my desires for my art to have meaning. Subsequently, when I began to pursue jewelry in the business sense, I knew that I wanted it to stand out as a company with good values that gives back just as much as for the uniqueness of the jewelry.
