Today, The Platinum Mask channel would like to introduce Miku Sakamoto for a conversation.

Hey! Please explain to the audience what you’re promoting.

I have a noninvasive body sculpting business called The Sculpt Fairy. We use noninvasive methods to get rid of stubborn body fat, tighten skin, and tone muscle without any pain or down time.

What was the biggest obstacle in your journey and how did you overcome it?

When I started The Sculpt Fairy I had zero experience in the beauty industry and never owned my own business before – so taking that leap of faith was definitely the biggest obstacle!

What separates you from similar businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

First off, definitely my theme and decor! I wanted The Sculpt Fairy to be a relaxing escape for my clients, somewhere that takes you away from your daily stress even if just for an hour. As soon as you walk in the door you are transported to a dreamy fairy wonderland. Everything is pink, there are hanging flower vines and clouds, and butterflies on the wall. Secondly, even though my services are to improve physical attributes, I try to make sure clients leave my sessions feeling more uplifted, confident, and ready to take on the world. I have a strict rule about no negative self talk! One of my favorite quotes is “you are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously” and I try to instill this in all my clients. I want this to be an empowering experience.

Do you have any favorite spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

I love going to Atlas in Bishop Arts when I want to grab some drinks! It has such a cute speakeasy vibe and amazing cocktails and bar food from around the world like Vietnamese pho and carnitas tacos.

What was your upbringing like and did you discover your passion early on?

I am half Japanese and half American and was born in Japan but moved to Texas when I was in 6th grade. I am lucky because my parents raised me with the belief that it’s worthwhile to do something that makes others happy. So while I didn’t know what my passion was early on, I always knew I wanted to find a career that would fulfill me by making others happy.

Were your friends and family supportive of your mission?

Very! My friends and family have all known that I’ve wanted to figure out my passion and own my own business for years, so they’ve all been extremely supportive.
