Today, The Platinum Mask channel would like to introduce Alberto Castaneda for a conversation.
What was the biggest obstacle in your journey and how did you overcome it?
They say the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and I learned a lot from my first pro team I got to play for.
What separates you from similar organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?
Im not a local but Dallas is my home at heart and enjoy my self when I’m there.
Is there anything you wished you would have known earlier in your journey?
That one day it was all gonna pay off and that the plan worked.
Do you have any favorite spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?
My top spot is the Irving Mall.
Were there any major challenges due to the covid-19 pandemic? How did you overcome them?
I stopped kicking after HS and didn’t play college ball, and during the pandemic the only way to deal with it was by walking across the street to the middle school football field and kick by my self. Little did I know what the future had in store but always knew I would eventually get there.
What was your upbringing like and did you discover your passion early on?
My dad played professional soccer in Mexico and has been in the music industry for more than 20 years on top of being a auto mechanic. Staying busy was always a thing for me. I have been a musician my whole life but it wasn’t until sophomore year of high school that I started to play football and focused on being a kicker.
Do you have a mentor and can you remember any key advice they have given you?
My cousin Cruz is the one who got me to take this “football thing” serious. Now he’s just waiting for my rookie car. I would like to give an honorable mention my HS team trainer Scott. He kicker in college ball and would give me good kicking tips time to time.
Were your friends and family supportive of your mission?
Very much so. From my mom and dad to my uncle Nestor and my agent Derral.
