Large Changes in 2023
What business do you think will sky rocket in 2023?
I am already seeing a major boost in the mental health arena. As more and more people (famous and not) start to come forward and talk about their dealings with stress, anxiety, imposter syndrome and especially depression – this is becoming more ‘common’ and a part of our daily conversation. People are finding it easier to talk about their experiences and are more open at looking at ways to heal, and treat themselves aside from drugs, medication and the traditional western ways. People exploring Human Design, Gene Keys, Astrology and similar methods is becoming the norm and I’m excited to be able to support people who are interested and ready to go down this path to explore their full potential and soul purpose.
I specifically believe that the industry of digital nomads will definitely boom in 2023. From travel influencers to any type of content creator will be on the move. Everyone is enjoying the non 9-5 work schedule, and the benefit of being extremely independent is less tiring and enjoyable. As a content creator myself, I enjoy the flexibility and autonomy that I have , and doing so while traveling is even better.
I believe Doula businesses will skyrocket in 2023 because Medicaid at state level in some states about to start reimbursing doula for care for birthing people to help combat the maternal health crisis in our communities. This is huge considering the fact how much support is needed when bringing life into the world and how much the children need their mothers to survive giving birth.
I agree that the travel industry is back. We are seeing a demand for travel and travel is no longer seen as an unnecessary expense. We have learned throughout the pandemic that tomorrow is not guaranteed and people are prioritizing travel. They want to experience new destinations and make special memories with their loved ones.
Another industry that I see skyrocketing in 2023 are the sales of comedy and concert tickets. Most of these events were cancelled because of the pandemic and people are ready to be entertained again. They want to get the sense of normality back of having a night out. Hanging out with friends and enjoying a good laugh from your favorite comedian passing through your city. All of the industries and events that folks were not able to do during the lock down periods of Covid will see a huge increase in revenue and demand now that people are ready to move forward with positivity.
Yes, I do think there are industries that will skyrocket in 2023. In fact, the very business I’m in, the beauty and wellness industry. This industry has held up pretty well during the pandemic and post pandemic. Everyone came out of the pandemic wanting to invest in themselves whether it was tangible or intangible. Although cost of living has gone up and well, the economy taking a hit, one thing people have made sure to do is invest in themselves. Also, with social media giving off the “filtered” look, people are becoming more vain and looking to make themselves look like….. a filter! So the beauty and wellness industry has been up lately and I think it’s only going to get better because it’s becoming more and more innovative. I personally do not see that going anywhere.
