Today, The Platinum Mask channel would like to introduce Nkechiyem Olloh for a conversation.

Hey! Please explain to the audience what you’re promoting.

I promote myself. I am my modeling Brand. I am MAJESTII. I am unique, I stand out. I’m not your typical model. I wear my naturally loc’d hair, I do my own makeup, I style my shoots, and creatively direct them as well. I love going into character when the camera comes out.

What was the biggest obstacle in your journey and how did you overcome it?

My biggest obstacle has been my look. The look that I have isn’t the typical, light skin, “sweet girl” look. It’s real, it’s rough, authentic beauty that most times gets looked over. Being so wholesome in an industry that doesn’t respect women that respect themselves can make it hard to get booked in this industry. I just continue to be true to myself and allow my tribe to build around me. I don’t try to fit into certain spaces, I created my own space, and will always do that no matter where I am. I realize I’m really in a lane of my own and that is my advantage.

Do you have any favorite spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

I love exclusive areas and I have been in some real exclusive areas! I love being up high, so I’ve been on some of the most beautiful rooftops in Dallas. On tops of hotels you would never guess in Downtown. There are so many hidden gems in Dallas!

What was your upbringing like and did you discover your passion early on?

My upbringing was pretty typical. Grew up Christian and in church. My parents entered me into modeling at a very young age, so that’s where it really began. By the time I was in 4th grade, I was doing competitive modeling, runway and catalog. I got back in touch with my model side in 2020 and have been working to sharpen my skills ever since.
